Tips for flawless looking skin

Right, we all want flawless looking skin, don't we? Unfortunatly, we can't all be blessed with Emma Watsons beauty counter. So here are a few little tips to try to cover our imperfections!
 1) Use a makeup brush- I have not yet met a person with flawless skin who doesn't use a makeup brush. Fingers and sponges don't cut it anymore, ladies.
2) Use a good fondation- now this one kinda goes without saying, but don't be tight when it comes to fondation. You will be much happier with a good one, and your skin will be too!
3)Figure out your texture - and by this I mean find out if powder, mousse or liquid suits you. Me? I'm a liquid girl.
4)Dont put your fondation on in a bad light - sure, we all love that super flattering mirror in our house, but it wont be following you around all day! Pick a realistic light.
5)Pick your colour - there are shades for a reason. There not designed for girls to walk around 12 shades too dark or light, are they?
6)Don't slather it on - seriously, there is nothing more uglier then a girl who walks around caked in makeup. If you've got freckles, show them (freckles are seriously cute).

Face Scrubs: Save V Splurge

Right, so we are all allowed to treat ourselves every now and then. Question is, is it worth it? I would rather save my money if there is a cheaper version of something, that is just as good.
I love both these scrubs, but I've got to say the splurge has the edge!
Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser is my desert island product! It really brightens up dull tired skin, helps fade marks left by spots and leaves your skin feeling soooo soft! And it smells gorgeous! Its £19.50 for the full sized (ouch I know) but smaller sized are available in store (the smaller one is the one I have in the picture).
Now even though no scrub can quite compare to my all time favorite, the Botanics Organic Scrub is still really good! Its actually promoted as a smoothing face polish, and smooth and polish it does! I use this as a body scrub too, and it makes me feel super soft! And, its only £5.10!
So, save or splurge? If you have tried either one of these scrubs, let us know what you thought!

Pearl Drops Pro-White Daily Toothpolish

Ello! Here we have a tooth-polish from the Pearl Drops range. It's called pro-white daily and you brush your teeth with it after using normal toothpaste. Now this is a good product IF your patient. This won't give you immediate results. Today I saw a new ad campaign from pearl drops so this is a new range, and they say that you should have your teeth 4 shades whiter in three weeks. I bought this about a month ago and I must saw I have saw some difference but nothing major. This was on offer (half price) at Boots for around about £2.79, so really it's not a lot of a loss. I'd say if your looking for immediate results then maybe this isnt for you, but if you'd had a go on the Pearl Drops range then drop a comment and tell us what you think!

New Shampoo?!

Looking for a new shampoo? Look no further!
On a recent trip to America, I fell in love with the everpure range from L'Oreal. I stocked up, knowing that most good American products rarely make an appearance on UK shelves. But then they appeared! Not in all shops, but in some!
My super duper EverPure range (actually I use EverSleek) was on the shelves!
The shampoo and conditioner are amazing. They are also sulphate and silicon free (this means if you have sensitive skin and are prone to rashes or spots, they wont cause any flare ups). Very few conditioners actually allow me to comb my hair in the shower (I don't brush my hair out of the shower because I have curly hair and will brush out the curls) but this one does- easily! It decreases frizz and makes my hair feel super soft, shiny and healthy.
I also brought the intensive mask which makes my hair feel gorgeous!
Now, for a shampoo and conditioner, they are a little pricey at £5.99ish each. But at Boots, there is 3 for 2 on all everpure products - so stock up!
I can also reassure my curly haired pals, and say that the EverSleek range decreases frizz (as it claims to) and does not disrupt the natural pattern of your curl, so give it a try!

Nail Polish: Barry M Nail Paint

Hi all! I must admit I'm a bit of a nail polish addict, I feel naked without some sort of colour on my nails! I bought this gold colour a while ago and I must say it's never failed me. Yes I know, gold seems a tad 'chavvy' but honestly this nail varnish is a God-send. There are so many colours in the Barry M collection, and the price varies from £2.99 to £3.99 so it isn't too expensive.
Here is the good part: you only need ONE coat! Just one! It comes out really well and even though I've had it a while its isn't all thick and gooey, it's really good. I recommend the Barry M collection to all my friends, so leave a reply if you have bought something from the Barry M range, tell us what you think!!

Spots? Try tea tree!

Okay, so we all break out once in a while (if you don't grr@u).
Now I don't know about you, but when I break out I get myself into a state. I am a bit of a drama queen (or so im told). This gives me more spots! And its not until I calm down that they do start to go (well, with the help of a little tea tree!).
This is one of the only Superdrug brand products that I like - Tea Tree essential oil 100%. Its quite expensive for its size (I think it was like £3 or something) but to be fair, tea tree oil isn't cheap, and this is probably one of the least expensive pots you will find. You dab this onto a spot (diluted- the instructions are on the pot) and overnight it should (dont hold me to this) decrease. I dab it on with a cotton ball undiluted- but this is not recommended so do so at your own risk (and probably don'f if you have super sensitive skin).
The other little gem in the picture, is a tea tree toner tab by Lush. Again, I don't usually like Lush products- even though the bath bombs are nice I think they are soooo over priced. But this I love love love! You pop it into a pot of hot water (be careful!) and put your face over the pot as it fizzes away- and stay there for about 10 minutes. I would suggest putting a tea towl over your head to stop any steam escaping. They are only about 75p each!
Tea tree oil is a naturally occurring oil, which has been used for years to help spots. It (supposedly) has the same spot reducing nature of Benzoyl Perozide, without the serious drying effect. So if your at a loss, give it a try and tell us what you think!
